Sony 剛發佈一款新的外掛式顯示模組，能把任何類型的眼鏡都能變成智慧型眼鏡使用。而且裝卸簡易，能把智慧型眼鏡隨時變回普通眼鏡。這模組包括了一塊內藏藍牙、WiFi 感應器、處理器和其他部件的控制面板，和旁邊一個解析度為 640x400 的 OLEC 微型顯示器。公司正為其「伙伴公司」準備有關 SDK 來開發各類型的應用程式，包括：運動、辦公和娛樂。

除了找軟體需要借助第三方開發商以外，估計公司也會跟其他公司合作推出模組的硬體部分。例如 Sony 已經為 iPhone 提供相機模組，所以他們也有可能跟 Google 合作在下一代 Google Glass 上加入這顯示模組。畢竟 Google 已經決定在下一代產品中使用 Intel 處理器，再找 Sony 談合作也不是甚麼奇怪事情。Sony 計劃在 2015 年開始量產，相信在不久以後就會看到這顯示模組在甚麼產品上出現。
