2015年明星賽16日進入壓軸，NBA聯盟主席Adam Silver也在這天宣告「新政」方向，最重要的就是賽制安排。

根據《ESPN》報導，Silver希望調整賽程密集程度，包括球季開幕提前、閉幕延後，或是減少「背靠背」、5天4戰等，理由無他，當然是希望保護球員，講白些，就是延長這些「搖錢樹」壽命。

「我認為我們可以做出重大改變，大家的聲音，我們都聽到了，而且聽的很清楚。」Silver說。

另外，一如上任時的願景，Silver依然致力於提升選秀最低年齡至20歲，現有的規範19歲是在2006年拍板，不過球員工會目前並不同意更改年齡限制。
