搶到金雞母 三星收購德OLED製造商Novaled

OLED(有機發光二極體)潛力無窮，三星集團(Samsung Group)從各路人馬中殺出，9日宣布將以2.6億歐元(3.47億美元)買下德國OLED面板製造商Novaled AG。

華爾街日報和彭博社報導，三星透過旗下關係企業併購Novaled：第一毛織(Cheil Industries)將購入50%股權、三星電子將收購40%股權，剩餘的10%股份則已為三星創投事業Samsung Venture Investment所持有。

收購Novaled可讓三星在下一代OLED面板市場上，更加站穩腳步。Novaled由德國研究機構Fraunhofer Institute和德勒斯登科技大學(Technical University of Dresden)於2001年成立，主要生產OLED面板和照明，三星為該公司最大客戶。OLED炙手可熱，先前美國、德國買家和南韓斗山集團(Doosan Group)都有意收購。

eCAPITAL創投公司執行長Paul-Josef Patt指出，三星看好Novaled成長潛力，出價為該公司2012年營收的10倍。OLED目前廣泛用於智慧型手機，因省電、色彩鮮明也漸獲電視採用。調研機構DisplaySearch估計，2017年OLED面板市場的營收將飆漲至200億美元，遠超過2012年的80億美元。

三星電子6月27日宣布在南韓推出採用「Timeless Arena」設計的弧形OLED TV。韓國聯合通訊社(Yonhap)報導，市調機構NPD DisplaySearch預估，2018年全球OLED電視面板出貨量有望達2,696萬片，較2012年的130,000片爆增逾200倍。此外，預期OLED TV出貨量會在兩年內超越電漿電視。
