總統抵達紐約 美方給元首級待遇

馬英九總統於美東時間11日傍晚5點抵達紐約，雖是低調過境，但美方仍給了元首級禮遇。專機抵達紐約JFK機場專機停機坪後，我駐美代表金溥聰與美國在台協會主席薄瑞光登機迎接馬總統下機，除訪團成員外，隨團記者也直接以接駁車帶出機場，未經過美國海關，這也是隨總統出訪記者首次獲得美方的禮遇通關。

馬總統後下機即搭上座車前往下榻飯店，美方除舖紅地毯歡迎，也派出隸屬國務院的外安局安全人員與紐約市警局一同擔任維安工作，並有警車開道。我駐紐官員表示，外安局雖是針對非邦交國元首的安全單位，但位階等同國務院特勤人員，美方以最高規格接待馬總統。
