雅虎任命韋柏為董事長

（中央社台北17日電）彭博社報導，雅虎（Yahoo!Inc.）指出，將任命韋柏（Maynard Webb）為董事長，執行長梅爾（Marissa Mayer）持續擔負提振這家網路巨擘營運重責。

韋柏於2012年2月加入雅虎董事會，在4月前董事長阿莫若索（Fred Amoroso）去職後，一直擔任臨時董事長角色。

過去兩年歷經管理階層和董事會成員更替，現在梅爾掌舵下，正增添工具和服務項目以吸引用戶和廣告資金投入。梅爾於2012年7月加入這家位於加州森尼韋爾（Sunnyvale）公司。

雅虎發言人艾斯皮利杜（Anne Espiritu）表示：「韋柏在2012年加入後，他的領導和指引對董事會而言一直都是非常寶貴部份。」「我們非常榮幸他將持續擔任董事長職務。」
