台電千萬獎金助學　萬名清寒生受惠

台電自1990年起為獎勵各發電設施所在地優秀及清寒學生，設置獎助學金，統計今年5月至9月，台電循往例陸續辦獎助學金頒發活動，今年共19000名學生獲獎，奬助學金共計達6656萬元，台電統計該獎學金累計24年來超過24萬名學生受惠。
 
台電提供「一般獎助學金」，藉以獎勵發電設施所在地區優秀及清寒學生，鼓勵體育、藝文、民俗等方面表現傑出的學生發展專長。另自2002年起，頒發「特別助學金」，對於發電設施所在地區高中職、大專學生家庭經濟上遭遇重大困難或其他重大事故、急需協助者給予及時援助，獎助金額，高中職每名3萬元，大專學生每名5萬元。
 
台電預計在今年11、12月在北、中、南三地舉辦「特別助學金關懷精英學生生活近況」活動，明年春節前辦理「特別助學金關懷精英學生年終送暖關懷活動專案」，致贈關懷禮金及年節伴手禮給生活欠佳且無雙親、單親又無工作能力的學生。（許麗珍／台北報導）
