針對明年總統與立委選舉合併與否議題，民進黨主席蔡英文批評國民黨立場不一致，要求國民黨先釐清自己立場。對此國民黨文傳會副主委兼發言人陳以信駁斥表示，國民黨的立場其實很清楚，也沒有前後不一致，就是尊重中選會決定。

陳以信指出，去年底中選會來函詢問國民黨意見時，國民黨回函中便已表示「本黨尊重貴會之決定」。

國民黨主席朱立倫近日被問到相關議題時則說，合併選舉最大一個困難點是，會變成現任總統跟選上的總統有4個多月的一個重複期，這在全世界是罕見的。陳以信說，朱立倫講的是，關於此項議題，社會必須思考的正反面意見，希望朝野能夠共同面對、思考與承擔。

陳以信說，國民黨並不是「昨是今非」，朱立倫也沒有政治算計。他反問，如果民進黨、蔡英文有既定立場，不如大方拿出來討論，用不著急著把這項議題「陰謀化」，反而妨礙朝野各界進行理性討論。
