鄰居以為他很窮　老翁死後捐1.9億

美國一名九旬老翁生前十分節儉，死後外人才知他是身家達800萬美元（約2.5億元台幣）的隱形富豪。他身後更將大部分遺產捐出，遺愛人間。

92 歲的里德（Ronald Read），去年去世前在佛蒙特州一個小鎮當加油站工人，為人低調，且非常節儉，不但身穿破舊衣服，更會檢木柴生火。左鄰右里多年來都以為他是一名窮人，還有人以為他身無分文，主動請他吃早餐。

直至上周當地圖書館及醫院收到歷來最大筆捐款合共600萬美元（約1.9億元台幣），才發現他是隱形富翁，捐出大部份身家行善。

原來老翁生前投資股票有道，默默積累大量財富，親友此刻才恍然大悟，難怪他生前天天都閱讀《華爾街日報》。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
