高雄大寮監獄發生挾持事件，總統府發言人馬瑋國表示，總統馬英九第一時間得知消息，密切透過行政院長毛治國掌握現場最新情況。由於此乃重大挾持事件，總統非常關注，已指示毛院長要求相關單位冷靜處理、務必全力維護人質和現場人員安全。(陳郁仁／台北報導)
