NBC主播新聞造假被揭穿　遭停職半年

美國國家廣播公司新聞網（NBC News）主播威廉斯（Brian Williams）12年前謊報新聞，被多名當事人公開踢爆，引起軒然大波。NBC News為挽救公司形象將威廉無薪停職半年。

威廉斯（Brian Williams）12年前擔任記者採訪伊拉克戰爭時，謊報乘坐的直升機遭砲火攻擊，他日前在冰上曲棍球賽公開場合，表揚當年保護他的退伍軍人，並製作新聞回顧事件，NBC將報導上網後，當時在場的雷諾斯（Lance Reynolds）在臉書留言，「老兄抱歉，我不記得你在我的直升機上，但我記得你在1個小時後走過來，問我發生什麼事。」

美軍媒體《星條旗》（Stars and Stripes）進一步調查，證實NBC人員在後面的機隊，1小時後才到場，揭露自導自演的新聞事件。

新聞造假遭踢爆後，威廉斯先在臉書承認誤報新聞，4日向全美觀眾公開道歉，自稱當時做了愚蠢糟糕的決定。由於新聞報導內容重創NBC新聞網聲望，為挽救公司形象決定將，「晚間新聞」（Nightly News）主播威廉斯無薪停職半年。
