三星、樂金 在中國面板廠投資金額將減半

韓國時報報導，全球兩大顯示器製造商樂金顯示器（LGD）和三星顯示器（Samsung Display），已決定減少在中國投資興建先進LCD顯示面板廠，投資金額將只有原訂的一半。

兩家公司的主管6日指出，全球電視需求疲軟和中國製造商提高產量，使供給過剩的疑慮漸增，是他們做此決定的原因。樂金顯示器原先計劃投資40億美元，在廣州興建一座LCD面板廠，每月產能為12萬片，但如今只打算投資18億美元。新廠房的每月產能將只有六萬片。

另一方面，三星顯示器原先打算砸30億美元在蘇州興建LCD面板廠，但如今也只打算投入15億至16億美元。
