發現新蜘蛛　身長僅1公分

【綜合報導】科學家在寮國發現新品種的蜘蛛，命名為Ctenus monaghani，身長僅1公分，屬於漫遊蜘蛛的一種，這種蜘蛛不用織網捕獵物，通常是夜間出沒，在地上爬行狩獵，一發現獵物就叮咬對方，以毒液置對方於死地。
 
發現新蜘蛛的是來自德國法蘭克福森肯博格研究協會(Senckenberg Research Institute)的節肢動物學家彼得賈格(Peter Jager)，他在當地拍攝野生動物紀錄片時，發現這個小蜘蛛，賈格決定用紀錄片中的德國演員，曾出演《魔戒》和《LOST檔案》等作品的多米尼克莫納漢(Dominic Monaghan)的名字，命名這新品種的蜘蛛。
